Upper back or lower back?

Does it prevent you from doing back work like pulls or are you more worried about putting weight on it like squats?

3 surgeries on the lower left, one on the lower right. Disk problems from basketball. I'm very careful with pull work in terms of form, and if things ever feel even slightly off I stop immediately. All my cardio has to be on the elliptical, the shock from running several miles would def fukk me up. I bench plenty and do a lot of weight on military presses and have had no issues so far (knock on wood).

My cuzzo who trains pro MLBers told me to be very cautious with deadlifting, so I don't hit it as often as I used to. I mean, I cut it out of my German Volume training completely.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
You can work out around a back problem, the Hodge twins don't deadlift or do squats and most people would kill to have their physiques, plus they're almost 40.

It all depends on the end goal, you don't need to lift heavy to get a muscular look. @houston911, my breh you can just ditch squats/deads altogether and focus on 60-75% your max for lifts and aim for 12-15 reps, that will lead to hypertrophy. I've noticed on the innanet everyone seems to side more towards powerlifting routines when the end goal is really to just look better, and bodybuilders while they do lift heavy also use machines, isolate and avoid certain lifts while also focusing on contraction & reps.

@Walt, try using the T-bar row station with light weights and see how your back responds to it. If you do it properly your lower back should be completely out of the lift, don't pull your head back and try to keep your chest on the pad. You can build a ripped or big back with one of them, for your lats just do pull/chin ups.

Cot damn, did you hurt it playing ball?

Yeah, some out of control dude sprained it

I tried to work out that week and ignore he pain and it messed it up pretty bad

I can lift free weights with very little pain during the set, but once the set is finished :damn:

@Walt I stopped dead lifting a while back. For some reason deadlifts and barbell rows tweak my back even with warmup weight
