My God Sister said some of the most saddest **** to me today

Since I barely get to visit my god parents, I usually skype with my god sister once she gets home from school once a week.

She is in the 7th grade btw.

She told me how she feels like a loser and a lame since she isnt into having sex, smoking weed, doing drugs, getting wasted at parties, dont have a boyfriend and cutting class.

I was disgusted as shyt yo. It took me an entire hour to explain to my god sister how horrible and bad those things are.

It also dawned on me that this is the society these children live in huh? That doing drugs, fukking and getting wasted at a young age is the norm now?

My god sister is a straight A student and has a cute/unique style about herself that even inspires me




Although I explained to her over and over how shes normal and dont let others influence her, I still feel as though I didnt get through to her B.

I want to call her parents and talk to them about the situation but I'm suppose to be the cool older sister she never had so I'm stuck B.

What i would do is, on top of already explaining to her that these things are bad, maybe you should show her examples, of real life people, maybe even people she knows that did all that BS in school, and let her see where it got them.
You got to show her that its cool to think for yourself and not follow trends. But to do that she has to see someone else who isnt with that bullshyt, and really be inspired by and look up to them.

I said all of these things and more...I think her friends have a lot to do with how she feels about herself. I took one look at them little heffas and I can tell that they're trashy as shyt.

I think you should let her parents know. Just ask them to be discreet about it when talking to her and don't tell her you told.

I also think you guys should put her in a situation where she can meet kids like her. The people she's hanging with are obviously not doing her any good.

My girl has a niece who 3 years ago was a straight up anime nerd who liked to play video games and things of that nature. 3 years later she hits high school, i can already tell shes been turned out.

Well when I was in junior high school, either I was an outsider or none of my friend were doing these types of things until they're in college or something.

This isn't new. So I don't know why people are acting like it is. The same thing was happening when I was in the 7th grade too, and my parents, grand parents ect. being responsible is always seen as being "square." Just tell your God sister that those girls will be washed up by age 21. The chicks who thought they were the shyt back in the day usually grow up to not be shyt. All have babies by multiple men, are broke, among other things. Just tell her to ask herself "In a year from now will any of this matter?"
