I got into boxing in January trying to regain my youth, lose some weight and address some health concerns I had from being dormant. I like it. Saw people sparring and I wanted that shyt, I already liked the sport, it was time to dive in. So I started sparring. Then I found out there's a Master's Division for fighters over 35, and dove in head first. I was hitting the gym 6 times a week, 2 hours at at time. I lost 50lbs and 6 inches in the waist. Which is leading up to my first fight this weekend. I've been working my ass off, so I'm hoping for a good showing. If you're in the Chicagoland area, come fukk with me. You might see me get beat up, you might see me beat some ass.

Nah no plans on it. This one is in Chicago Heights so it’s only about 15 minutes from Hammond

Good that they have that Masters Division for older brehs; I used to play football so I've had enough head shots, only thing keeping from doing something like that!
Similarly I focus all my training around boxing now, best way to get and stay in shape!

I don't think I've seen any fights in the heights. I've been to the Hammond civic center before. I live in Hobart so we are close. Hmm, is it pretty much down us30?
