nvm that it took us to invent the idea of black for yall to use:mjlol:
African americans did not create blackness

White people did too marginalize us

We didn't create our identity

plus the idea of people being black is old too. The greeks called africans black and hard words for it. so did arabs.

Haplogroups Maternal L3e1 Paternal E-CTS10935

I’m from the DMV too (PG to be exact) and I can stand by breh’s statement. A lot of us who were born & bred here got hella folks in the Carolinas and to some extent Georgia....But it’s also a decent number of us who got ancestral ties in Southern VA, Southern Maryland, and even DC itself believe it or not.

your being dishonest as hell with this reply

the meaning of black that we and others go by here was made by us,

But if your goin by the context of black meaning someone who is dark. Well no shyt we didn't create that but that was just referring to someone's skin tone same reason why aboriginals were black, and someone like Michael Eealy and Steph curry would be referred to as white.

But as you can see we do not go by this rubric , otherwise a Huge portion of ados people wouldnt be considered "black" because of that.

there are two different contexts for the word "black" and ours is what we go by, and honestly what people see as. Given alot of others outside of us even view us(ados) as the "black people" and not themselves they view themselves through their ethnicity. Black is simply just the tone of their skin.
