Could someone shed some light for me?
If an upcoming artist has their youtube/twitter/instagram following with substantial views 1mil+, what is stopping them from approaching ITunes independently and going all digital sales?

I believe Biebs had a following before being signed...right?

Are you talking about having a DIY (Do It Yourself aka Indie) artist?

Really, all they need to do is obtain some type of publishing and choose a PRO's organization (BMI, ASCAP, SESAC) & upload their album to CDBaby, Tunecore, etc for like $25 & boom. That's it, music is on Amazon, iTunes, Pandora, Spotify, and TONS of other outlets. & you can also easily get publishing through CDbaby, Tunecore, etc as well.

dats crazy so if dats da case how come thevrest of my videos havent been taken down yet? i gotta hater out here who really dont wanna see me n my ppl get onwith this music shyt

i would assume because it has no copyrighted material in it but i honestly don't know the exact reason.
