Regarding the taliban letting folks get killed, let's not play stupid. There has been chatter for days that ISIS was on the ground and that we were about to have issues. The US even told US citizens to stay away from the airport today because they had word that something might go down.
No American civilians were killed due to the hard work of US military and the US intelligence operations, who did their job and coordinated with the taliban to make sure that civilians stayed safe.
