I’m willing to bet most of these marks don’t even work real jobs from the way they react to some of this shyt sometimes. Probably just live off mommy and daddy and are basement dwellers.

I have a coworker who has been out for 2 months. The first month he was out had to do with family issues and the second, he ended up needing surgery. He called me the other week asking how things were going at work so I gave him an update. This is when he told me he was gonna be out a little longer than expected due to surgery. I could tell he didn’t really wanna say what the surgery was for so I didn’t really press him on it, I just asked if he was gonna be good and he said yeah. So I asked how our manager was dealing with him and if he was cool with him being out for so long or stressing him about it. He laughed and said he hadn’t even spoken to him once and that he had only heard from him a couple times through texts very briefly just asking how much longer he’d be out. His main point of contact has been with HR, and even with them, all he does is submit whatever paperwork is required.

But I suppose according to the marks, my manager should be brought up on charges for being a heartless maniac.
