A whole lot of things

The music is one, wanting to be part of something that’s hood/gangster because they feel living in the burbs they are perceived to be corny/lame, the lack of a father in the home or hell even the parents even though they live in a nice area are still hood themselves

I wouldn’t limit it to black youth, there’s a social disconnect with youth in general. As I’ve said in other threads they have a distorted sense of reality. They have access to more non productive distractions than at any time in human history.
The number 1 reason is the device that you typed your message on.
The number 2 reason (for shootings) is the ease with which they can get access to guns.

The ppl from the hood moved to the burbs once it became more accessible…had hood babies in the burbs…they make friends with suburb kids and they’re the cool ones because they’re from the hood and know people who have been shot and can get weed n shyt…and they follow his lead…and to prove themselves as real they’ll go to the fullest extent

They’re not street smart because they haven’t been raised in that type of environment, so they lack the awareness that a smart breh from the hood would have…they try to mimick the king Vons and whoever the local killers are in their vicinity and just crash out
