They did a Friday the 13th series without Jason. :manny:

That said, no one wants to see this with or without Ghostface. What would you do? Every week or season have a new person dressing up as Ghostface?

Pretty sure Scream could go away forever and we'd all be fine.

Classic Scream Sequence Being Recreated By Bella Thorne

Disney star Bella Thorne will play the Drew Barrymore role in a recreation of the "Scary Movie" phone call scene for MTV's Scream series.

11 DEC 2014 BY MATT FOWLER

While MTV's upcoming Scream series, based on Wes Craven/Kevin Williamson's 1996 meta-horror classic, plans on mixing up elements from the movie, including leaving out "Ghostface" altogether (the character is owned by Fun World), it is planning on recreating the movie's infamous opening murder sequence in its pilot episode.

And Disney star Bella Thorne (Shake It Up) will be the one playing the Drew Barrymore role during the famous scene featuring that fateful "What's your favorite scary movie?" phone call.

Thorne confirmed her role during a Yahoo Celebrity fan chat (h/t to ComingSoon). “Yes it is true,” Thorne replied to a question about the scene. “I will re-enact the famous scene of Drew Barrymore in the original series.” Thorne's character is named "Nina."

The Scream series, about a YouTube video going viral that spells out killer repercussions for a group of teens, kicks off with 10 episodes in October 2015.
