i'm gonna hope the
mutation
confirmation is just to imply:

1. Mutants exist as their genes mutated

2. Something is up with Kamala's genes, but she is infact an inhuman (or just a clandestine) not a mutant - her genes are different because of the kree tampering (which ties into captain marvel/the marvels etc) - maybe the krees were mix and matching genes which included interdimensional beings like clandestines

3. They will eventually make the distinction in the future of mutants being naturally evolved, which differentiates them from those who got their powers thru accidents, or genetic manipulation like inhumans

to those who say it could get too complicated, my counter is the inhumans don't have to be around for long ... they can introduce the royal family in either FF or the marvels, and they can be fodder to establish a greater villain ... which means Kamala and a few others (maybe Quake as a shield/sword agent etc) will be the only "inhumans" we will have around moving forward in the build up to mutants arriving en mass

they already introduced alternate universe Black Bolt, so i don't see the issue imo

no reason to conflate them when it isn't that complicated if one of those groups were always smaller, and wouldn't be around long anyways ... Kamala being the first
mutant
to be acknowledged just seem anti-climatic to me imo

otherwise the show was cool, i liked the unique visuals and representation, tho many of the critiques of the show is very valid too

i unno why everyone in here actually wanting BOTH inhumans and mutants. From an avergae audience standpoint, they seem like the same thing and it seems redundant. Might as well keep it only "mutants" and if they have powers cause of alien interfenece (inhumans) then the directors can jyst make that difference known.

theres asguardians, ancient gods, antlantis, wakanda, aliens, multiverses etc. Sure this stuff is kinda meant to get confusing but not to the point where nikkas gotta have a wiki page open just to watch a film

imo its to expand on the Kree and their fukkery in the universe if they setting up their conflict vs Skrulls for secret invasion

also to add more backstory to an empty captain marvel origin ... like why would she be so powerful if the alien race she is associated with/worked for ain't about shyt - they gonna be the recurring villains in her (and kamala's) story moving forward so might as well give 'em more to do

and lastly, to distinguish that mutants are unique cuz they evolved without outside tinkering or accidents

inhumans don't gotta be around for long imo, with the new tier of villains they are introducing, there needs to be somewhat powerful "good guys" to be fodder to establish the new villains

i get why people are saying its redundant, but to me thats only the case if they gotta exist as a huge group along with mutants, which won't be necessary imo :manny:

they dont have to coexist in the same film or show for it to be too much/confusing

Its just the simple fact that this is legit way too much to swallow for an average fan investing into a cinematic universe. Mind you, we still havent each scratched the surface of whatever mystical land shang chi went to, Atlantis and alternate dimensions (which are also introduced in ms.marvel and different from timelines in loki)

cant use comic book lore as an excuse to just dump shyt. You also kinda have to create a story that logically makes sense and marvel is starying to kinda do that

Breh. I’m still trying to figure out how so many people in this thread like this show. It’s boring as hell.
I’m more surprised at how many people in here liked WandaVision.

That show was not good.

Ms Marvel on the other hand was pretty good though.

I wish they would just make like 90 min original movies like they did on the Disney channel back in the day instead of these miniseries. 3 movies for the theaters and 3 movies for Disney+…

I feel like after I watch the series I barely remember certain aspects.

Just binged this and its one of the best Disney+ series they've done so far. The show was well done, from the cultural dynamic to side characters. Each episode was enjoyable, unlike almost all the other shows that have a few dull ones in it. Great job on the casting for Kamala. Going into the show I was expecting her to be annoying like Kate Bishop, but was pleasantly surprised.

Thought this was pretty good. Don’t know why it was TV-14 it was pretty wholesome.

Kinda a weird way to reference mutants but we’ll see how that goes in the next few years.
TV-14 was because of all the bare feet in the show. To JBO people that might as well be nudity.
