LMAO, Probably was one of the worst post-2000 marvel movies and literally was the butt of jokes for Deadpool. Movie was so bad Fox probably wanted to reboot the whole franchise after that. Hate they even had Cyclops as a cameo in that movie. My dawg deserves better than that.
We also got a taste of wade Wilson before they completely fukked him up at the end.

" Yes, I know we got Ryan Reynolds, but let's be ironic and cover his mouth."
Wolverine should have had a way better first movie than that. They ain't even need to do Weapon X to be legit, he got enough backstory they could have pulled from and had a great movie.

Even as a fan, I can recognize that Cyke was never really built for solo movies. Most of the other great X-men aren't. If anything, Scott's the dude that SHOULD have been the protagonist of the main series from the jump.
When Logan is shoved in the audiences' face 24/7, treated like this unkillable, unstoppable force, and made out to be the center of the universe, it kills the mystery of the character.
That's why the "Now it's MY turn" panel in the Dark Phoenix Saga worked so well. He was an underdog and the odds were against him. You can't buy him as an underdog when he's mastered every martial art on the planet, can regenerate from one cell, and is centuries old.
And two of them were trash.
