Hm. I felt like a rewatch was necessary just to go back through the film and check to see if each scene holds up to scrutiny with the twist in mind.

Anything with a "twist" at the end.

I guess I feel the exact opposite of this. I enjoy rewatching films with a big twist to measure how well they set up and revealed the twist. Half of my enjoyment of rewatching Gone Girl was to pay closer attention to the details. I feel like good films with twists are even more enjoyable on rewatch because you get to see how they did the magic trick.

I like to go back everyone in a while and see if i can spot clues to the twist. I watch Fight Club every once ina while and i'm :ohh: when i catch new stuff.

Movies that are one and done for me are stuff like schindlers list, mystic river, those depressing ass movies.

Majority of the movies that are up for best picture
True. Most of those movies are made to win awards anyway and at times it is rare for me to really, really like one of those movies. They need to nominate more stuff like Whiplash and Her and less of those historical and biographical dramas we get every year.

Honestly I don't see how a best picture can have no replay value
