After Earth. If it was successful, it could have shown the viability of a Sci-fi/Space Opera film that focused on a black cast (Hollywood/Professional critics would still ignore it/trash it though). But we got a mess. The thing is, it could have worked if you got rid/altered a lot of the crap (Jaden as the son, M. Night, no bullshyt like the Earth being basically Eden after only 1,000 years without humans and freezing over at night, birds sacrificing themselves for Jaden, the character being named "Cipher Raige", the Ursa being a super-monster that can somehow only see fear, a space faring army without firearms, etc). Just a massive failure all-around.
