But DARK CITY!!! Movie dropped in 98, around the same time as The Matrix I believe. This movie had so much potential, I can't even explain how they messed it up

Love Nolan and almost everything he has made. But the movie was a let down. He could have done better.

Bruce and Selena dancing at that ball or whatever was boring as all hell
And the twist
I still think the movie would have been a million times better had they not shown Bruce at the end. If they cut with Alfred looking and smiling into the distance

After Earth. If it was successful, it could have shown the viability of a Sci-fi/Space Opera film that focused on a black cast (Hollywood/Professional critics would still ignore it/trash it though). But we got a mess. The thing is, it could have worked if you got rid/altered a lot of the crap (Jaden as the son, M. Night, no bullshyt like the Earth being basically Eden after only 1,000 years without humans and freezing over at night, birds sacrificing themselves for Jaden, the character being named "Cipher Raige", the Ursa being a super-monster that can somehow only see fear, a space faring army without firearms, etc). Just a massive failure all-around.

Like you had all the previous movie to content from and you still fuked up. The first scene I was like then the movie continued to be

They had so good things to use like the interrogation of vesper, if they used that

They totally messed up Resident Evil and beyond

How do you mess up something like that, it has a huge fan base, and you have enough games to get content and ideas from.

The first one was good until the part where they made nemises bytch made like and could get beaten by a human
