I'll agree with that even though I loved what we got after it.

Terminator didn't need a sequel. T2 is dope but the way the first movie ends is kinda perfect.

Die Hard
Rocky (yes we've gotten dope shyt after it but they've deluted what the first movie meant)
The Thing (the Carpenter remake)
Halloween
Jaws
John Wick (yes I love Baba Yaga but the first movie didn't need a sequel. I'm just glad we got em)
Back to the Future (the original ending didn't have that tag at the end. That came with home video and when they knew they were making a sequel)

You confuse it for Chappie?
Nah, I remember talking about wanting a sequel for District 9 because of all the possibilities that they left open for one, but as time went on, I was content with it ending how it did.

Is Chappie in the same universe as D9? I've never seen Chappie, I just know it was done by the same director I believe.
