There's so much that goes into this, it's more detailed than planning a wedding in some ways. I doubt she was just given a blank check for all expenses.

The check would have to be 10k...... not sure if she got that... Its like you said, planning a funeral is very personal and detailed, and would've only been done by those closest to the child..... lil shyt like headstone, police escort, limo service, etc.... all adds up.... if the kid was shot in the face, there Is no telling what the director had to do to reconstruct his face, which can also result in additional cost.....

i just had to bury a family member 5 months ago, clothing is provided by the family , food is provided by the community or the church. Transportation is provided by friend. The plot of land, makeup, hair cut, headstone is all things included in the funeral service cost

and here we go...... listen... Me and my uncle just dropped 7 k on burying a loved one.......... the church can provide food(if they choose) and yes the family provides clothing.... (but who knows if lil man had a suit) and if not, one would have to be purchased, at least the jacket shirt and tie.....and when you say transportation is provided by a friend... I'm not following you on that.... We paid for limo service, police escort, and you have to pay for transportation of the body..... you can easily pay half a rack to a full rack just in flowers and adornments for the casket
