He could hold a job though and when I was around 7 or so he left and went to live in Minnesota. And I'm damn sure he didn't have 17k stashed away. If you make 20k a year you can move out to the south burbs of like homewood and park forest and live comfortably by yourself. So you don't need any fukking skills, just do it. I'm not acting like poor people lack mental functions and self preservation. I'm acting like they're not financially literate. The woman in question purchased a car and no longer has to walk or catch the bus, if that makes her feel safer, then she made the best decision for herself.
We can all sit here and talk about what she could have done, she could have spent the money on private security or a bullet proof vest or moving somewhere else, none of those things equals absolute protection or certainty that she won't be killed, they only mitigate the threats, for example, if she did move and someone really wanted her gone, it wouldn't take much effort to catch a greyhound to where she is and make it happen but to onlookers moving away is a safer bet than staying in her comfort zone and purchasing a new vehicle.
she claims a vehicle makes her feel safer and that's pretty much all that really matters.

Wrong again, I grew up in the hood. My mom had 3 kids to look after, she went to school and got us up out of the projects even though she could've stayed and paid the low rent. She's weak-minded and weak-willed, that's what's going in her head. She will fail if she continues to behave this way.
If I died, she would not go car shopping on IG with donation money. If she was in danger she would have left and not buy a nice car and stay.
