As I’ve mentioned before, I feel bad for the kid as none of this is his fault and he has to live with the fact that he’s a b*stard child and people will remind him of that every step of the way.

Either the man takes complete control and moves the illegitimate kid into the legitimate household (and his wife doesn’t leave ) or he chucks some money their way. But there is a REASON why society doesn’t recognize OOW kids the same way. With marriage your kids are legitimized in society and don’t have to deal with shame.

It’s one thing if a couple is unmarried/co-parenting. It’s a completely different beast when you have a child with a married man. NO, you and your kid aren’t showing up to family dinner every night at 6pm to discuss how the day went.
