This was an underrated aspect of the show. Yes she was annoying but Doug would get in her ass when she was approaching “Super bytch” levels and wasn’t on some “I’m afraid to lose her” shyt. And at times he displayed just the RIGHT amount of #HOH.


I remember the episode where one of the waitresses at his regular wing spot was attracted to him and flirting and the wife wanted him to stop going and he straight up told her “Deal with it”

I realize this post is two years old, but I do wanna point out since the thread is back up that Esmeralda never ended up with Quasimodo. She actually chooses the better-looking blonde guy (forget his name) at the end of that movie. Quasimodo does get the girl in a DTV sequel, though.

Any show/movie with a great looking woman and an out of shape or goofy looking guy honestly isn’t that unrealistic. I see that couple a lot in real life, now a great looking guy and a not so attractive woman, that’s a lot more rare. Women go for personality/status/how they’re treated where as us Men are primarily driven by looks
