My point still stands. I don't feel Spider-Man was as well known to non-comic book readers/The general public as Batman & Superman before the Sam Rami movies.

Even now, I feel Batman has the most well-known Rouge's gallery.

Im almost certain people are just as familiar with Spider-Man story as they are with Batman
and they both (Spidey/Bats) have easily the best and most recognizable villains
