I never forget when they changed the route for the Desire bus cause cacs were complaining.:martin:

Had to take the Bywater bus home and if I even sneezed the driver would kick me off the bus

Brehs no matter how "free spirited" or "weird" cacs are, they're still cacs, learned that growing up in the N.O

I see Milwaukee popping up on here, but most of the board hasn't spent any substantial time here.

A lot depends on how you define racial tension. If you're thinking of it as you walk around town and some CAC shouts a slur at you, you generally won't find that here. People are way too passive aggressive for that. You can move freely in the city proper; some places will be more comfortable and your speed than others, but again, it's super rare to experience anything or anyone being outwardly hostile toward you.

Now, if racial tension is being measured by segregation, that's different. There's a long, nasty history with that and it hasn't been dealt with properly. As a result, you see the poverty and inequality that plagues the city. And then, when shyt blows up, the nation sees it and has the perception of the city that it does.

I just randomly had a talk with a kid about this place. He says everybody in Wisconsin he’s each other along racial lines. Not That is different in other places but it seems to be very pronounced with the amount of tension in Milwaukee.
