French Dip for California? Lol, wut? Easily should’ve been something with avocado or straight up avocado toast

The French Dip was invented here, but I was thinking a Carne Asada Torta.

my wife from St Louis and I guessed St Paul as well. But when I saw the other states I was familiar with, I figured it would be BBQ. It was Hot Salami, she had never heard of it
Food and accents are about the only things that are still regional these days. I would have never learned about it if I didn’t watch Mr ChimeTime in 314 sampling things. Honestly I would like to see a Netflix show about this

If it ain’t a fried chitlin and jalapeño pepper sandwich slathered in thousand island dressing they can kiss my ass :camby:

You probably bullshyttin but that chittlin sandwich you just described might slap for real…. :lupe:

Just gotta figure out what type of bread to use……

My Family
Didn’t watch, but if I had to speculate the list:
Florida- Cuban
PA- Philly cheese steak
NY- chopped cheese ; western NY- Texas Hots
Missouri- St Paul Sandwiches

Nothing beats a good old fried Catfish sandwich on white bread though.
I agree nothing beats a good fried fish sandwich..perch or walleye would be above catfish though

Bullshyttin? Bro my wife makes a batch of chitlins every XMas/New Years and I’m on my second slab right now.

She uses Hawaiian bread Hoagie rolls to offset the bitterness of the chitlin and to soak up the sweet juices :ohlawd:

The best Sammich you'll ever have is a cheesesteak from Cafe Carmela, Angelo's or John's Roast Pork

And in the summer, we eat hoagies

If you’re on the Gulf (which Mississippi is) why wouldn’t you expect elite seafood especially a shrimp po boy sammich?

I identify shrimp po boys with Louisiana and New Orleans specifically but Mississippi making great po boys wouldn’t surprise me
