Haha I see what you're trying to do.

But these wraps are different from ''Skirts''. That's not a skirt he's wearing.

Plenty of men around the world wear wraps:

If you notice they all have something in common....it's cloth wrap.

It's the coli breh. I dress like that when I visit my uncles and stuff. As soon as I saw the picture, before even reading the article, I asked myself "why Mos Def is dressed like West Africans? Does he have a show back home". not even thinking about some gay agenda.

"Last year May, I came [to Cape Town] and I said I'm not leaving. I'm staying. It's a beautiful place. It has the ocean, mountain, botanical gardens and beautiful people," says Bey.

"The arts, the crafts, the energy, the people coming out of this continent, are like no other in the world. Be aware that you are in a special place at a very special and unique time in history.

I felt this way when I went to Cape Town too. Most beautiful place I've visited. :blessed: I often think that I want to move there too. But :comeon:I'm not wearing no skirt.

I'm Nigerian and have never seen my dad wear a wrapper around the house or anywhere else

BULLshyt.

As a half Nigerian and half Sierra Leonean who dresses traditionally I have seen plenty of elders going to church or parties with wraps around their whole body

I won't be surprised if "African" Americans don't see this

It's not shyt regular people wear to go to th eoffice in, sure, but from my experience it's not some attire people just rock for traditionnal stuff or only in "bush country remotes villages" lol neither. It's some shyt to chill in, as it is in other parts of the world (except Western countries).

I know it might sound confusing, but in my country, that's the way we dress, pretty much at home and I asked myself that question before reading the article, like I said in my post. I thought dude was in Ghana or Nigeria, so for me, it looks normal.:yeshrug:

I never seen any of my relatives in a wrap, even in the country side. Only Somalis but that's their thing anyway.
