I feel the same way, but at the same why change shyt and retcon the origins if everything is going to end up the same? THIS IS WHY they shouldn't have did the MK 11 reset in the first place. The timeline was fine when it was just Raiden vs Shao Kahn (Armageddon aftermath), they couldve properly reworked and rewrote (and retconned) the MK universe and everything wouldve been Gucci. The Midway timeline couldve still been a thing (STELLAR writing) had they played their cards right. But NRS' vision outpaces their execution, they have some great ideas but it manifests horribly. What they're doing with Mileena and Kitana is dope on paper, but we got to see how it all comes together. But because of the new universe thing The Midway timeline is GONE! FOREVER! SMH!

I'm not gonna spoil myself by watching all the character moves, fatalities, intros, etc, etc like I did with every MK leading up from MK9.
I wanna buy this and be completely surprised by everything the day of release.

I say this a million times. People just dont get it. Who cares if SF and Tekken are better from a "technical standpoint". This is ENTERTAINMENT, not trade school for aspiring electricians and welders. MK is the most fun and uniqueness you'll get from any fighter.

So, there's slightly different bios for the same characters than the one we got. Apparently, Jerrod and Sindel are parents to both Mileena and Kitana. Strange, because there's dialog from Kitana that references Shao as her father. So, its likely Jerrod also dies in this timeline and Shao raises Kitana and Mileena as his, but he's only a general. So it appears, he doesn't usurp power from Jerrod in this timeline and serves Sindel and may be her consort or companion.
