Morning workout vs Late Night workout

Im on a 3-11:30pm shift, i dont even think i could do morning workouts if i tried at the moment, i do get energized after my workout at night but sleeping late at 3 never disrupted anything other than sleeping till 11-12 noon

I do alot of cardio at night even after working a job where i have to move around all day.. i ran 6 miles after a regular shift... my question is would i be burning more calories in the morning or late night.. or does it all equal out?


doesnt matter what time u work out if u worry about calories. Every exercise is the same. I just prefer mornings cuz it makes me feel good throughout the day.

i preferred the morning because of how much energy i gained. now that i work am shift tho, its tough to get to the gym after an 11 hour shift. i started doing bjj again because my interest in learning is the only thing that overcomes my laziness and forces me to go to class. i might start lifting again on the weekends tho we'll see.

Night workouts.

For me I feel fully energized ate most of my food,gym be empty and I can get to work with no interruptions 9/10

My best workouts come in the morning when I eat a slice of toast, an orange and drink a cup of coffee 30 minutes before my workout.

:blessed: Love morning workouts. Wake up early, take my pre-workout and I'm off to the gym. Also makes me feel better throughout the day when I'm at work afterwards. I used to do late evening/night workouts, but I'm usually busy nowadays around that time :manny:

Also a benefit to waking up that early makes me not sleep in as much now on the weekends. Gives me more time during the day.

Work the 3-11pm shift. I normally get up @ 830am get the gym by 9am and leave a little past 11am. I like the morning workouts. Sometimes I take a Nos pre workout drink or mixed up some Myo energy.
