I switch up, but I always do abs in the morning or daytime. I'm actually bout to do legs and back right now. But that shyt is light so its not a big deal, tomorrow morning is vanity muscles.

I do both as I work earlies and lates. I find I have more energy in the mornings but I feel stronger if I lift later on with 4 meals down the hatchet. I like the mixture though.

Always 2nd thing in the morning, fasted. I "warm up" by walking my dogs. I do only body weight exercises 6 days / week & cardio 3 days / week, if that makes a difference.
I follow it up with a smoothie. And I eat 4 more times throughout the day.
Never any problems.

But I only workout in the mornings because I used to skip too many evening workouts. Nothing I wanna do less after a workday than workout.

Which do you feel is more beneficial?

ideally u wanna workout as early as possible because u gain energy after each workout. I've done both routines. I work the mid shift (2-10pm) so i was conflicted on when i wanna do my workout. Should i do it prior to work and risk being tired going to work or should i wait until i get home and try to work out the best i can after a long day of work. I realized that its more beneficial for me to work out in the morning. I tried the late night work out and it messed up my sleep pattern which is huge for anybody trying to get into shape. I would start my work out at 11pm and be done by 12am and couldnt fall asleep due to being energized until 3am. I was on a shytty schedule. Now since i been working out in the mornings,i can go to work with energy and come home tired and fall asleep at a decent time and get my full nights of rest and wake up and rinse and repeat.

Of course if your lifestyle is too strict to do a morning or day time exercise then u have no choice but to do late night work outs. But if u have the option, do the mornings breh

Im looking into this too. I've always gone to the gym fasted as soon as I wake up, but recently I've been feeling tired near the end of the workouts and I've been stalling on all my lifts for the past few months (part of that is I haven't been getting in enough calories, but I wanna see if eating b4 a workout would help)

part of it is from calories? breh, thats the whole reason why u arent lifting properly with the right amount of energy. If u feel like u have no energy in the morning, eat something light to spike your insulin. If im in no rush, ill have a small bowl of cereal, wait an hour then go at it. If i have limited time, ill eat a banana, wait 30-40 mins and then work out. Also, eat right after as well. fukk them recovery drinks. Make one of your daily meals right after a work out. Your body will thank u

Im on a 3-11:30pm shift, i dont even think i could do morning workouts if i tried at the moment, i do get energized after my workout at night but sleeping late at 3 never disrupted anything other than sleeping till 11-12 noon

I do alot of cardio at night even after working a job where i have to move around all day.. i ran 6 miles after a regular shift... my question is would i be burning more calories in the morning or late night.. or does it all equal out?

I have my best workouts fasted primarily because I feel light and more focused and if I`m taking a pre workout it hits harder. I`m doing IF now but I`m thinking about moving into One meal a day when I get leaner. As Blacks I think we should focus our nutrition and stuff off of those of Africans or even Native Americans than that of roided up White people.
