Historically, Black people have been pretty conservative. Surely we didn’t have all these Black Wall streets and such, by being liberal.

It’s a shame that many feel that we have to put ourselves into one of two political boxes, when neither addresses our needs.

Conservatism: commitment to traditional values and ideas with opposition to change or innovation

Do you know who burned down all the Black wall Streets Angry white "conservative" cacs who opposed the change/innovation of Black people being free and equal citizens in the US and wanted to go back to the traditional values of Black people being slaves/ bottom caste

Black people have aligned with pro-civil rights liberal and progressive parties, candidates, ideologies since....forever. We have never been conservative. Ever.

We voted Democrat because their policy platform aligns with our interests in just about every bullet point. From taxes to economics to criminal justice reform to civil rights to education to everything. Not because of "pandering." We reject the Republican party and right wing, anti-civil rights conservatism because low taxes for rich people and white christian fundamentalism has been the sworn enemy of black power in this country forever. Much more than "white liberals", gays or immigrants as much as yall love your contrarian fanatsies. The idea that black people are too stupid to weigh and make their own political choices and are beign "fooled" by their party and their ideology of choice, liberalism, is classic dogshyt O'Reilly Factor right wing talking points and I cant believe this shyt is now being adapted in "pro-black" circles.

No we have not found all the means to adapt right wing economics and be "left alone." By and large our children, schools, and communities lag tremendously behind others. Their is still a need for systemic policy in order to reverse systemic failures in our school and our communities and make systemic improvements. And conservatives have NO interest in investing in those policies or even acknowledging it. Liberals...including many Democrats in Congress...are the ones fighting for these policies.

What do Democrats offer over Republicans? Damn near everything. Im not even gonna entertain this.

So we should let the party of abject white supremacy take over the government because you "respect that"

Thecoli man :russ:
We are conservative just not by cac terms but our own and fukk you for wanting to define us by cac terms you fakkit people like you are the worst c00ns because your entire ideology and mindset has been shaped by white supremacy.

For Black Americans, republicans are the monsters, a seeming clear and present danger to our physical and financial will being at all times. They’ve been the party of associated with old fashioned, outward anti-black bigotry. (Black males being killed by police, etc). And rightfully so tbh.

However, Democrats are the devil with its hand on our shoulder telling us that the “monster” is all that we have to be worried about. They then court influential black people who love money and prestige and use them to try and contain/control us and keep us at bay ideologically. They use much more subversive tactics to attack us. Make no mistake, the people who control the democratic party don’t want to see an ascendant Black American population any more than republicans do. They constantly dangle the promise of some sort of financial or legislative salvation from the “monster” to keeps nikkas in their thrall and out of the way. Waving nikkas off like “yeah, yeah, we’ll talk about that later” :stopitslime:

It’s truly sinister.

We have to become a fluid, moveable community/voting block that evolves with the times. We should literally be willing to switch parties every election based on what the current/previous administration has done for our community specifically.

Unconditional loyalty to organizations that were founded and chartered by white men before you or your grandparents were even alive is extremely small brained and silly.

Intersectionality is a tool to keep our community at large at arms length by constantly rewarding/propping up our “allies” (POC, lgbtq, “immigrants”, etc.) and telling us it’s progress and we should just be happy for them.

Boy do yall love these weak deflection fallacies.

Im convinced conservatives can send a court case to the Supreme Court and end affirmative action or some other existing LIBERAL policies toward black people and yall would still deflect to "well them Democrats aint no better" on some smart dumb shyt.

Yes there were white abolitionists, activists, community leaders and authors who helped advance civil rights for African Americans in this country. Yes they deserve some credit for their courage and their work at the time. No, none of them were "conservatives." At all. Not one of them.

Vote Republican and just get it over with breh.

Translation: Both sides are clearly and visibly opposed to each other with Republicans being a particular threat to us physically and financially. Now heres some smart dumb shyt for daps.

You responded to my original comment with a deflection. I never said that Black people should be democrat or republican.

You don’t know what conservative means. Black people owning anything in those times would be “liberal” or “progressive” because they bucked the trend not maintaining the historical status quo ala conservativism

I'm 29 and becoming more socially conservative as I age, most black men wanna get money and be left alone, don't want the government interfering in our lives

Dems being pimped out by Immigrants, lbgtq and feminists is gonna accelerate that trend hard
As a 13% of the population, you need government. Cacs can say that no government bullshyt because they run every damn thing and wanna keep it that way.
