More Sony games coming to PC

In an interview, Shawn Layden, chairman of Sony’s game studios worldwide, said exclusive titles will still be a part of the company’s strategy, but that some games -- particularly multiplayer titles designed to be played on personal computers -- may see broader distribution.



“We must support the PlayStation platform -- that is nonnegotiable,” Layden said. “That said, you will see in the future some titles coming out of my collection of studios which may need to lean into a wider installed base

That's not what you were saying, breh.

This lines up with what I was trying to convey in that thread, though, about *special cases*, but *not everything*. Notice, he is talking about multiplayer-designed titles, and nothing more. It's plainly stated in your quote. At least read before you start to gloat in the future.

This lines up with what I was trying to convey in that thread, though, about *special cases*, but *not everything*. Notice, he is talking about multiplayer-designed titles, and nothing more. It's plainly stated in your quote. At least read before you start to gloat in the future.

His quote doesn’t say that. The author of the story added that, but really doesn’t matter multiplayer or not, I never said all Sony games would come. You made that up.

At most it will only be selected “exclusives” as the appeal of exclusives are to push the sale of their console and if all their exclusives are available on other platforms the incentive to get such and such console to experience such and such game goes out the window. With PS4 sales surpassing the PS2 I highly doubt this is going to be a frequent thing.

There’s a balance they are trying to go for. Obviously they want to use their games to sell consoles, but profit margins on hardware a very slim, and there’s billions of gamers that don’t/won’t own Sony hardware so making games exclusive is leaving money on the table. I think their biggest titles will remain exclusive (but even them you are likely to find on other Sony platforms like PSNow) but for the smaller or less popular games they’re gonna put them on PC.

Yeah, there's tons of small PS4 exclusives that people don't really know about so them being on PC is no shocker. When you said "PS5 will have very few exclusives", that's 100% pulled from the ass.

If you take into account cross gen games. Games on PSNow, 2nd/3rd party “exclusives” that come to PC. Smaller titles and now multiplayer titles, there will be very few games you can only play on PS5.
