With the 1st pick they could've taken the BEST WR in football - Calvin Johnson....the BEST RB in football - Adrian Peterson....the BEST LT in football - Joe Thomas

Joe Staley was taken #28 in the same draft and he's as good as Thomas when you consider he's a better run blocker.

The life expectancy of a RB is much shorter than an o-linemen. And Thomas is still the building block of the franchise. Can Oakland say the same about their pick

Also the browns weren't going to let anybody outbid him. The front offices we had were shytty but ownership wasn't cheap. We were willing to spend,we just spent it wrong.
