That moose dwarfed the bear. Thought it was a cub for a second

This highlights the point that most large predators avoid direct confrontation with worthy rivals whenever possible.

It's certainly possible that the bear could have won a confrontation with the moose. But it might have taken too much damage in the process and degraded its ability to hunt and feed itself. Or even if it got away with it this time, if it engaged in a pattern of getting into fights with moose, eventually it was going to get caught lacking. Get an eye pocked out, a leg broken, a wound to an internal organ, and it's done for good.

Large predators always try to pick fights they know they'll win, and dip from fights where they might take real damage. Herbivores and small predators are more aggressive about fighting above their weight class because their survival depends on being sufficiently scary to dissuade the large predators from attacking them.
Humans do the same shyt. Itā€™s why itā€™s such a big deal when kingpins go at each other, or warlords or even countries. Even if you win, youā€™re going to be so damaged afterwards itā€™s not even worth it as long as you have easier ways to get what you want.

Moose are the only animals that a bear will flee from. Take the speed of a horse and the strength of a bison and you have a moose. They have the kind of stamina to have a drawn out chase or fight. It could chase the bear enough to wear him down so that when he's cornered and has to fight he has less energy. If he makes the wrong move his skull can be shattered by the hoof or he can be torn open by the antlers.

So with that said, let's get to the heart of the matter.

How many Brock Lesnars?

At least 60. 40 0f them could be killed and after the 45th the moose will start to tire out. It could run far enough to recover some stamina and then take out another 5. He may not have enough stamina to finish the remaining 10 lesnars
