This ain’t about what Netflix can afford to pay her. Surely they could afford to pay her more. Just like they could afford to pay the stage hands more. As long as they aren’t paying the black or female stage hands less than they’re paying the white and male stage hands then there’s no basis in claiming Netflix is being racist or sexist with their compensation. Ditto for Mo’Nique. If she’s going to make these claims, she’s going to need to present a case where Netflix negotiated more fairly with a comparable talent.

“Comparable” is referring to her ability to get Netflix a return. The only way a talent has no comps is if they’re so far off the charts that no one with that much potential has ever received a contract before. Clearly that doesn’t apply to Mo’Nique. As far as who her comps are, I don’t know and since I’m neither the one making the racism/sexism claims nor am I the one who’d benefit from a better offer I’m not gonna waste my time looking for one. Breh Netflix is about making money, they don't give a fukk. Them giving her a show in first place can't be a punishment, it's not like everyone are getting their specials at Netflix . Who else that's a retired part-time comedian, doing love and hiphop, never had any main role, cancelled shows, tv-show cameo is even getting Netflix Specials?

If they are giving her a show in first place, we've already cleared any blackballing accusations. Then the price, they are most likely going by the market price. How many shows has she sold out lately, how many of Netflix demographics are fans of her, is she getting any primetime series, is she starring as main actress in any big movie and on? Rhetorical questions.

She got an Oscar for supporting, not for main and it wasn't a comedy.
