I mean, if you're a working/touring comedian, doing a comedy special is EASY. You're not developing new material, you're just recording one time, the same act you're doing every night and then getting a big check for it.

Netflix knows who subs to them....Dave and Chris are popular among white people.....Amy Schumer is obviusly as well.

Monique is a very niche comedian. An older Black woman comedian, there's literally no one else in her lane and most white ppl aren't subbing for a monique special.

And to be honest, not many Black ppl are saying, "Let me sub to Netflix to check out this Monique special"

I look at it in terms of Race - cause can't everybody cross over like Dave, Kevin, Chris.

The ONLY reason Tiffany is crossing over is she's on that Minstrel - "I love White men and White People" ish.

Monique is not doing that.

So, with that being said. She level #2 because she's not crossing over and looking for White Validation. But, she comes with some experience and accolades #1's don't even have. She's worth a min 1M.

Using an Oscar to negotiate pay has a shelf life. You usually see oscar winners immediately star in some bizarro shyt after winning. I think they do it just to get that fat check.

This ain’t about what Netflix can afford to pay her. Surely they could afford to pay her more. Just like they could afford to pay the stage hands more. As long as they aren’t paying the black or female stage hands less than they’re paying the white and male stage hands then there’s no basis in claiming Netflix is being racist or sexist with their compensation. Ditto for Mo’Nique. If she’s going to make these claims, she’s going to need to present a case where Netflix negotiated more fairly with a comparable talent.
