Need to unify those belts honestly. Right now, they've got 5 men's singles belts floating around. Too damn many lol.Well, they have the same damned belt so....I guess
Not really but there aren't a lot of names for a big title defense at a show like Wembley either though. Without Ospreay' there's MJF and Okada and that's about it. Even a guy like Mox, a guy who wouldn't be a hot challenger but at least kayfabe wise he's always in position to challenge for the belt, wont be entering the Owen Hart Cup while he's holding the IWGP belt (and he ain't losing it before the tourney starts).Does he NEED it though?
I worded that wrongly, my bad. My point was that they ain't making Naito job because he'll most likely be the next IWGP champ taking the belt back from Mox soon.Naito a champ? Did he win another title?
Yeah i see your point. Of course with Ospreay taken out the picture, wonder if they'll have Okada face a NJPW guy or just have him doing something with the elite. Don't remember if the midcard titles were featured previous years vs njpw. Likely do a multiman instead.
I'm thinking of who could Okada face as well because I don't think Omega will be ready by Wembley. Okada vs. Ospreay is a big match especially on foreign soil.
You think that they could heat up Page and have him "take everything from Swerve on the biggest stage?"Everyone else isn't realistic or wouldn't be a "main event in front of 50k worthy" match.
He it’s not really a tournament though. Going to just be qualifier matches for a multi-man ladder match.Main event was lit
They should’ve went through with giving jungle boy the belt. Get more heat on the elite and avoid another damn tournament.
It fits perfectly creatively though.Really surprised dudes wanna see Perry just given the belt. No one liked it when Trips got it, now dudes wanna see it? Elite get enough heat already.
A lot of fans keep running with the idea that wrestling is like an internet forum/social media, in the sense that "making people mad" will mean engagement (or in wrestling, getting the kind of heat that makes people want to see a heel get beat up). But 2014-2019 WWE showed us more than enough evidence that fans online laughing at the more loyal/hardcores getting upset doesn't translate to people actually watching or spending money on the product. Troll culture done made people think shyt works in all walks of lifeReally surprised dudes wanna see Perry just given the belt. No one liked it when Trips got it, now dudes wanna see it? More like Osprey vs MJF at Wembley.Welp, TK bailed on Swerve vs Ospreay at Wembley so now he better use FD to start a real rivalry between the two. Have Swerve win the first match and have a long feud between both of them, with Ospreay having to wait for his rematch.
Ospreay winning I'd still understand because he's the most over guy in the company but cutting the legs from under Swerve before All In make no damn sense to me, you have to give the way at least 4 months and the main event in front of 50k people
That's the issue with authority heel angles. You can argue that any dumb decision that will make fans mad fits the story but we've seen that in the end, the people that will watch no matter what are the only ones that stay and react to it. And the more you do it, you'll end up losing a percentage of even those fans.It fits perfectly creatively though.
It builds the Callis Fam turn. Talking about how Os can be a double champ and only to fail.
