I'm thinking of who could Okada face as well because I don't think Omega will be ready by Wembley. Okada vs. Ospreay is a big match especially on foreign soil.
Need to unify those belts honestly. Right now, they've got 5 men's singles belts floating around. Too damn many lol.

Not really but there aren't a lot of names for a big title defense at a show like Wembley either though. Without Ospreay' there's MJF and Okada and that's about it. Even a guy like Mox, a guy who wouldn't be a hot challenger but at least kayfabe wise he's always in position to challenge for the belt, wont be entering the Owen Hart Cup while he's holding the IWGP belt (and he ain't losing it before the tourney starts).
Everyone else isn't realistic or wouldn't be a "main event in front of 50k worthy" match.

Yeah i see your point. Of course with Ospreay taken out the picture, wonder if they'll have Okada face a NJPW guy or just have him doing something with the elite. Don't remember if the midcard titles were featured previous years vs njpw. Likely do a multiman instead.

A lot of fans keep running with the idea that wrestling is like an internet forum/social media, in the sense that "making people mad" will mean engagement (or in wrestling, getting the kind of heat that makes people want to see a heel get beat up). But 2014-2019 WWE showed us more than enough evidence that fans online laughing at the more loyal/hardcores getting upset doesn't translate to people actually watching or spending money on the product. More like Osprey vs MJF at Wembley.Welp, TK bailed on Swerve vs Ospreay at Wembley so now he better use FD to start a real rivalry between the two. Have Swerve win the first match and have a long feud between both of them, with Ospreay having to wait for his rematch.
Ospreay winning I'd still understand because he's the most over guy in the company but cutting the legs from under Swerve before All In make no damn sense to me, you have to give the way at least 4 months and the main event in front of 50k people

That's the issue with authority heel angles. You can argue that any dumb decision that will make fans mad fits the story but we've seen that in the end, the people that will watch no matter what are the only ones that stay and react to it. And the more you do it, you'll end up losing a percentage of even those fans.
Have Takeshyta take the title from Ospreay so he can take the title from Swerve.
