Helping with Tony Khan's booking (which he needs lol) and it keeps them out of the ring and off TV, which is great because I don't wanna see Colt, QT, or Serpentico in a wrestling ring ever again, least not an AEW one.

This specific instance is more like producing than booking.

The casino gauntlet match format reminds me of the sort of main events you see in TV shows like Heels and GLOW where there's no real rhyme or reason to why anyone comes out when they do except that it fits the story they're trying to tell that episode.

Not a bad thing, just occurred to me watching it... new ways to shake up formats are welcome. They could probably add more to it with backstage fukkery, people getting jumped for their spots, mid-match politicking between the bookers/evps...

I wish they had an element of guys being in a staging area for participants. So, we can anticipate the stars in the match and kind of build suspense if they will get in the match. A little bit more tension goes a long way.

I think like not knowing at all until they are ready to go to the ring though. Generates better pops for their entrance, especially if it’s a legit surprise entrant like Lio Rush was.

I’d like to see your idea tried out though. Match only been done two times, not like it’s already perfect by any means. Sometimes you just don’t get it perfected until you do trial and error.
