Ticket prices are too much. With inflation up, fans don’t wanna spend. Look at movie theater sales, they’re low too. And E attendance isn’t as high as it used to be.
I’m not even taking that into account. But let’s say the prices were reasonable for a cold product.

If I’m a really price conscious consumer, I need to know what I’m getting if I’m buying a ticket. I’m not going to go in blindly and hoping I get to see stuff I want to see.

Which is why shyt needs to be announced in advance. I don’t mean like two days in advance. By the time Dynamite is over I should know at least one to two major things at minimum that are going to be happening on next weeks show. Announce like a match for two weeks (or more) in advance and then use the week before to do something to build toward that match.

Which is why there needs to be a roster split of some sort between Dynamite and Collision. People need to know which show their favorites will be on.

Which is why, at minimum, the top stars need to be able to announce what shows they are popping up at.

Like those social media graphics guys like Cody Rhodes and Punk post showing which Raws, Smackdowns, and house shows they are appearing at. Think of it like a good movie trailer - you don’t know what all is going to happen (is the wrestler speaking or wrestling?), but you get an idea of the premise of the movie and can see who the top billing actors in it will be.

Wrestling is a stories and star driven business but especially a star driven business. A price conscious consumer needs to have some confidence of who is going to be on the show in their town as soon as tickets go on sale.

I mean it sounded kinda obvious Mercedes would be doing something but i understand the frustration of not announcing anything. Best to announce a few things and then have a few surprises. We'll prolly get some continuation of the DON fallout, maybe rest on Collision.

TK has gone and got Gedo addicted to these eliminator matches now too, as if Gedo needed any more bad ideas

And this match was announced at 11:45. TK loves announcing his PPV fallout cards once the east coast goes to bed the night before the show :snoop:

They could’ve announced this match on New Year’s Day and it wouldn’t have sold one extra ticket. Nobody wants to watch Rocky Romero wrestle on the company’s flagship program

Maybe, maybe not but it's Moxley and this is Rocky Romero's hometown in a city that has typically been a good market for New Japan.

Nothing gained by waiting until the last minute to announce stuff. Either announce it further in advance or don't announce everything and leave some elements of surprise.
