right...it’s hard to address generic statements like “parents should do better”...“teachers need to control the kids” when we’re really talking about a societal problem looking @ the big picture...in this instance tho based on that video I definitely hold the teacher and to a larger extent administration accountable for the mother being placed in a position where she felt the need to do this

the only thing I’m saying differently is that the mother may not face any legal issues if she was permitted to address the kids...she didn’t touch anyone...aside from that I agree w/ most of what you said...you can sue the school...whether you’ll be able to do so successfully is another story...worst case scenario if the parents raise a big enough stink and the principal is not in good w/ his/her supervisor(s) then she might get transferred or even completely removed

As an educator, I’ve prevented fights and earn the respect of students. Look at the “teacher”? She has no control or respect from the students.
As far as the parent, what the teacher was going to do? Exactly what she done. Nothing. However, it wouldn’t gotten that far because the class would understand that their behavior should keep parents and administration at bay.
