It's interesting because now in France with the whole gender discussion and further liberalization of love or sexual relationships I'm seeing a lot of articles pop up about having multiple relationships at the same time. Obviously, since it really talks about white people (especially white women) it's called "new forms of love", "empowering", "finding your true self", "not bowing down to standards", etc. They even invented a new term, "polyamour" ("polylove").

Define "regular"

Most polygamists have large paper.

You are committing to supporting more than one wife and multiple children. Can't be a dead beat and it's all on you. That's the name of the game.

It's not about Paper but more so status because "Paper" is an Western thing, general wealth would maybe be a better way to frame it.

My grandfather was a chief and had land and such but didnt have "paper" if that makes sense.

No. It's a matter of means. You really cant have polygamy without the extremely strong culture. Its impossible for America to have it. It just wouldn't work over time. Short term maybe.

People in America think Polygamy = 3 somes. People dont understand that in many cases it is the wife who requests the husband brings in another wife because she may need further help.

Just checked current status in my country. :youngsabo:

In March 2014, Kenya's Parliament passed a bill allowing men to marry multiple wives.[2]Polygamy is common among traditional communities in Kenya, as well as among the country’s Muslim community.[3]

In parliament, the proposed 2014 polygamy bill had initially given a wife the right to veto the husband's choice, but male members of parliament overcame party divisions to push through a text that dropped this clause.[4] The passing of the bill caused angry female members of parliament to storm out of the late night vote on the polygamy legislation in protest.[5]

One Man, Many Wives, Big Problems

. "And remember: Everyunbalanced polygynous marriage, other things being equal, leaves some man bereft of the opportunity to marry, which is no small cost to that man.

The social dynamics of zero-sum marriage are ugly. In a polygamous world, boys could no longer grow up taking marriage for granted. Many would instead see marriage as a trophy in a sometimes brutal competition for wives. Losers would understandably burn with resentment, and most young men, even those who eventually won, would fear losing. Although much has been said about polygamy's inegalitarian implications for women who share a husband, the greater victims of inequality would be men who never become husbands."
