These pets are still animals subject to sudden impulses so no matter the amount of training,nothing is ever a given.
That being said I have owned a red nose pit,a rottweiler and a bull mastiff pit mix in my life,and the rottweiler was BY FAR the most unpredictable and the one I had to be the most cautious with while the pit and bull mastiff mix were like giant puppies.

Good question. No idea. I'd hope not.
We don't see enough stories of wild "pet" dogs getting booted in the face. I'm already prepping my maneuver at the first sign of aggression. Dogs can sense fear but they can't predict how far they likely getting punted

Never understood why people like to kiss dogs and get close to them, humanizing the animal like it's a toddler. I only like small dogs and always keep my distance, it's not that difficult.
people have to realize dogs are animals and get into attack mode over the slightest things or have trained behavior to bite or could experience trauma that will make them aggressive when triggered by anything they see as a threat
the little dog barking at you and snarling would like to do to you what the pitbull did to her but isn't physically capable of it, that doesn't mean they aren't just as savage as the pitt they are just physical harmless and can't act on it
that's why those companion dogs were breed in the first place to be pets, a pittbull is not a damn pet, a big ass german shepherd belongs in a junk yard guarding some shyt not in a house, big ass rotweilers are not toy poodles meant for your amusement

Why do you willingly own an animal where you have to be cautious around it?
Used to be that you owned such an animal because you knew that it had even less tolerance towards strangers trying to encroach on your property, nowadays tho'...people want to cuddle with the guard dog.
