Also I've said this a lot on the forum but P was supposed to be Last Day but he didn't wanna do it. Later on he said he regretted that decision. I'm not saying it should've been on the album but fukk Last Day would've been that much doper with the LOX, Big, and prime Prodigy over prime Havoc production.
:mjcry:
:mjcry:
He didn't do it cause he thought BIG was wack :martin:
Ridiculous opinion, but you gotta respect the artistic integrity :wow:
Turned down $ and the chance to be on an album that was gonna sell records like Snoop :lolbron:

This is the track listing from the original promo copy:
This had a girl all over it saying "Mobb Deep returns with Murda Muzik. This is for promotional use only. Cop that." Or something like that.
Pile Raps became Power Raps and was released on the QB album. P gave Nas so much heat on that album. :wow:
1. Quiet Storm (Prodigy solo version)
2. How You Want It? Feat Cormega (titled What's Your Poison on retail)
3. Alllustrious
4. Mobb Comin' Thru Feat Big Noyd (also known as Perfect Plot)
5. Guns, Money, p*ssy (titled Adrenaline on retail)
6. The Realest Feat Kool G Rap
7. fukk That bytch
8. Feel My Gat Blow
9. Where Ya Heart At?
10. Where You From Feat Eightball
11. Murda Muzik
12. Streets Raised Me Feat Big Noyd
13. Pile Raps
14. Nobody Likes Me
15. Hoes Gonna Be A Hoe (titled Let A Hoe Be A Hoe on retail)
16. Aight Then (titled U.S.A. on retail)

yeah that was the tracklist that got out to magazines for review.

I always thought Power Raps was just a typo on the QB's Finest album. On the song he definitely says "pile raps inside my skull cap like a brick stack". The way he says it just kinda sounds like power, so I've always thought someone just wrote it down wrong and I have always called the song Pile Raps.

shyt was fire.

The other tracklist I've seen floating around is
1. Murda Muzik
2. Deer Park Feat Cormega (titled What's Your Poison on retail)
3. Feel My Gat Blow
4. Hoes Gonna Be A Hoe
5. Thrill Me
6. Alllustrious
7. Where You From Feat Eightball
8. White Lines (version on retail)
9. Where Ya Heart At?
10. You fukkin' Wit Feat Big Noyd (also known as 3 From NYC with the al green sample)
11. Thug Muzik
12. The Realest shyt Feat Kool G Rap
13. This One
14. That True shyt (titled Streets Raised Me on retail)

:ohhh:I never heard this. I thought that the original beat was lost :francis:
fukking Puff :francis:
Does kind of sound like a blend though :jbhmm:
Yeah man I don;t think that's the OG beat. Like Havoc said it was gone gone forever and there was no recording of it saved, and it was a reel and not even saved on a DAT tape. Also I've heard the beat described and it doesn't really match with what I heard there. But that "demo version" is still pretty dope.

Honestly I love the final version no matter what.

Wouldn't the first time. P and Alc submitted the Albert Einstein tracklist to the distribution company/artist and for IMDKV the company thought the capital I was a lowercase L, so the artwork came out LMDKV.

Hell on Earth Dropped November 19, 1996 :wow:
Let's start the celebration early :blessed:
I copped on release date :wow:
On cassette :wow:
Played the album every day for at least 6 months straight :wow:
Album was 5 mics easily but the Source accidentally gave it 4.5 :francis:

The roll out of the album was a mess :francis:
Drop A Gem on Em was supposed to be the lead single:

But Pac got murdered :mjcry:
So they had to cancel that. :mjcry:
Luckily the disses were so creative, that they didn't even need to say Pac's name and they could keep the song on the album :wow:
The Source had God Pt. 3 as a Sure Shot Single before the album dropped:

But that ended up being the second single :francis:
They ended up going with the title track...with P's legendary second verse :wow:

There was a video for this song...but it doesn't appear to be on Youtube :ohhh:
The Infamous is the Greatest Album of All Time, and as dark of an album as that is, the Mobb somehow managed to drop an even darker follow up :blessed:And we all know that there are Hell on Earth stans who will tell you it's better than the Infamous :jbhmm:
P was an absolute beast on the album - killing verse after verse :scust:
GOAT
Hav went for dolo on the beats and solidified his spot as the greatest producer ever :wow:
I wish I could go back and experience hearing this masterpiece for the first time :mjcry:
I envy the young brehs who will be hearing this for the first time :mjcry:

Yeah. In actually have this on vinyl. It's just a bootleg that came out in 2007. Would have been amazing if this was officially mastered and released in early 97.

The Pre-Hell EP is dead ass my favorite piece of vinyl that I own. Listen to it all the time. Even my girl love the Young Luv joint.

This used to be my favorite album ever. I prefer Infamous and a few other albums now. HOE is too dark to listen to often without effecting your outlook on life. It's hard to listen to it living a normal life with a job too.

For whatever reason when I first listened to it when I was 13 or 14 I didn't like it much, thought all the songs sounded the same. I liked More Trife Life a lot though, I would play it on repeat.

Dope album.

Drop A Gem On Em gotta be one of the most underrated disses ever. shyt is pure vicious brehs yet you rarely hear people bring it up when discussing diss tracks. I was a Pac stan at the time but
