In all honesty, Gretzky had a big influence on that team's rise in support. ATL didn't have that same star power.

Our arguably biggest star got caught in a nasty homicide case, and left as a result.
Dallas???? San Jose??? Nashville?? And y'all had Kovalchuk forever. He's world's better than Heatley. He was a superstar.

Nashvile ain't preoccupied with any other sport besides football, so they got more of a pull, even if they're not that big of a city.
