Imagine being an employee for this company working the games. Still gotta smile on TV like you may not be on the street at any given moment:francis:

That bit about WB is interesting as it could signal they're getting ready to possibly lose NBA rights.

Guess we should have seen it coming years back with getting rid of HBO Boxing...Dumb decisions imo
I actually think it signals that WBD wants to keep national NBA rights. Getting rid of the RSNs is just another cost cutting move by Zaslav.

Yea I guess the idea is cut out the smaller teams and just focus on the whole league and get the best matchups

Like what Nike has been doing...less sponsorships with athletes and more with teams and leagues.

Yeah, it's really just about costs for them. As a larger overall point, this is more about the RSN/live sports bubble bursting. Owning and operating a RSN is low key pretty expensive. And service providers have traditionally tried to save costs on sports by playing hardball with RSNs.

Combining the bad deals some of these RSNs are locked into (the Diamondbacks are getting something like $80 million a season out here, for example. That's INSANE, when you think about it), the cost of staff/on-air talent, and the cost of acquiring the random shows that air when local games aren't on, and the costs become low key prohibitive.
