North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
In terms of records..... not many will overtake MLB records.

You gotta remember, they didn't play as many games in a season as MLB players. And its probably why they are so comfortable doing this now. Gibson's batting average will be the all time best, but cac's will always point to playing fewer games.

The most games he ever played in one season was 94 and on average it was like 50 or 60.

But if you take Gibsons stats and average them out over a 162 game season

42 HR's, 185 RBI's, .365 ave, .449 OBP, .690 slugging :wow:

Went to the Negro Leagues museum in Kansas City a couple years ago, and copped a New York Cubans t-shirt.

Really cool, small, insightful museum all fans should visit if they’re in the area.

Hopefully they remember one of the more underrated and remarkable Negro League players. Dude's journey to the pros was legendary given his circumstances.

........But seriously.........it's good that baseball is trying to reconcile with its' past. These record books are going to be mighty interesting.
