if MJF doesn't show for the PPV it's a really dumb move and here's why:

1. AEW could ice him for 16 months. He'd be ice cold heading into 2024. Leverage gone.

2. Then when WWE does sign him he can't cut a scathing promo because WWE is TV-PG.. it won't really hit.

3. His ceiling in WWE could be The Miz sure... very high. But he could just as easily be another 'smaller' guy they don't really do much with.

He really should play the game with AEW until 2024.

Also.. this isn't a Sasha/Naomi. Sasha is already a big star and Naomi is in wrestling royalty. MJF just getting started.

He's decent, but he's honestly not worth all of this shyt. Tony Khan should just release him. They got like a dozen guys waiting in the wings to use his TV time

Would be a bad look going forward, if MJF gets released he's getting signed by WWE off rip and if that happens expect more of that happening with AEW, WWE would just freeze the contracts until the wrestler obliges or they get released.

This doesn't surprise me at all. MJF is a Cody guy. Cody leaving really seemed to have created a rift. All of Cody's guys or being used poorly or not at all.

Tony should have just torn up MJF's contract when he outperformed his original deal :francis:

smh at the moronic posters on here saying either to tear up the original contract and resign him or pay him more up to the end of his current contract.

Y'all hacks truly don't know how a contract and the negotiations behind one works.
Yeah AEW has renegotiated other contracts for more money but they had to sign on for more years. That's how contracts work. If one side gives something you got to give something. MJF wants more money without giving anything on his end and won't sit down to negotiate. If he felt he was so good he shouldn't have agreed to a five-year contract to begin with.

Motherfukker not even the top talent on the roster.

WWE already has Miz, who is head and shoulders above this guy in every way.... why would they offer some big contract to him?

not to mention, MJF doesn't even really have much of a following other than AEW fans.... he only has 235k IG followers which is extremely low compared to most....

just sayin.... this dude acting like he's the hottest free agent in the business, but the reality is he's a 5'8 one trick pony who doesn't realize how good he has it right now in AEW ... they actually treat him like a star (for whatever reason).... if he goes to WWE, Vince would be completely in the right to just utilize him as a comedy act and jobbing to the more believable looking wrestlers.

MJF probably has nuclear heat right now in AEW….the situation has boiled over and I don’t think Tony can handle it. It’s particularly his fault because MJF should’ve been extended by now. Tossing out money to ex wwe guys left and right but can’t look out for you’re day 1’s? Who helped build the company from the ground up?

That’s probably how MJF sees it.:yeshrug:

But It’s still a bytch move from MJF because Warlow gets screwed and gets his moment taken away becoming collateral damage.

Kahn even said that he's open to renegotiating to an extension.
