Im not aware of Obama ever referring to himself as biracial. I suspect that the reason Obama(and other mixed blacks like him) refers to himself as black is because that's how he's seen/classified. Biracial/mixed and black have ever been mutually exclusive. Do you think that if Obama did make it a point to claim biracial/mixed while rejecting being called black, he wouldn't be classified as black?
