:why: does he even really wanna be president. i feel like he's just making himself the worst possible candidate just so he won't win.

i dont like him, but its hard for me to believe he's this dumb. i thought mccain's candidacy was bad, even though a lot of it was palin, but this is ridiculous.

How do y'all feel about this analysis.

"Downplaying the need for the government to ensure that every person has health insurance, Mitt Romney on Sunday suggested that emergency room care suffices as a substitute for the uninsured."
Mitt Romney knows that running on a health care reform policy promoting the emergency room as primary care is NOT just a losing strategy but suicidal, so what's up with that?

Here's what. The GOP's fighting inside over how they ought to lose, whether it's because Romney's too moderate or because the TeaOP has taken the party hostage and "decided to do all they could to make the president unsuccessful."
"Their not-so-subliminal message has been: We will make the country ungovernable unless you hand us every bit of legislative, executive and judicial power so we can do what we want."

Obama Must Defeat GOP Obstructionists | RealClearPolitics
Already spinning in recrimination, the blame machine is up to speed before the election is over, and it can only mean one thing when Romney pushes the emergency eject button on his only (but historic)* governing legacy. He intends to lose as the TeaOP's candidate, not as the moderate governor who who passed universal health care. He's not about to take the fall for a catastrophe he agreed to go along with reluctantly, naively in fact, believing that his party was governable in much the same way that Obama thought that a reasonable opposition would eventually assert itself in the GOP, for the good of the country, instead of using every vote, every campaign as an effort to discredit America's first black president.

By embracing such a cockamamie idea, proposing that the problem (unfunded emergency room visits) is the solution, Romney has made it clear that it's the TeaOP losing this election, not his only historical legacy

I really pitty the idiots who aren't gonna vote because they think it doesn't matter who wins... They're the same.

Look at what this cat is tellin you on a Daily basis now... You should be very scared at the mere possibility of such a spoiled self involved uncompassionate piece of sh*t possibly becoming your next President.

No... They are not the same.

No need to go to the ER. Urgent Care Clinics are popping up like crazy in Miami. I know folks making a couple million a year running them. Very popular in Miami among immigrants. Waiting area, a few exam rooms, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practioners is usually what you'll find.

thats hilarious. cost of going to the ER is burdensome for the patient, the provider and the system. the default on payment only leads to added healthcare costs.

with that said i don't believe that he believes anything that he is saying right now. his track record just doesn't show that

Urgent care is a good alternative for non-emergencies, though they can't treat serious shyt.

The real problem is that a lot of people end up in the ER with problems that could've been prevented with preventative healthcare that they didn't have access to due to lack of insurance. For example someone who has high blood pressure/cholesterol for years but that can't go the doctor to get it treated because they don't have insurance. So if they end up having a heart attack/stroke, there they are in the ER room. Obviously they won't be able to pay the tens of thousands of dollars that ER treatment will cost, so guess what? Everybody's insurance premiums go up.

That's why this whole self-serving argument of "I don't want to pay for a lazy moocher's healthcare" is dumb. You're paying for it anyway, and you'd pay less if we could keep ER visits to a minimum.

That's exactly why he's losing, IMO.

He's pretending to be this comically extreme anti-government dude (I guess to pander to the Tea Party) when he really isn't and it's backfiring.
