I only liked Casino Royale from all the new bond films.

Same, I thought Quatum of Solace was OK but they wack after that. Especially this last one. Spectre is terrible.

Nah the Bourne Franchise>>>>> Mission Impossible. Although the best film out of all of these modern spy films was Casino Royale. How they managed to fukk up the bond franchise again I will never know.

As the bond fan I’ve gotta speak up for that lol. Casino royale and skyfall are definitely two of the best movies in the franchise. Casino royale is the one tho definitely but skyfall is no slouch. Both movies are doing different things with skyfall being the more emotional of the two.

But I type all that only to realize the bond franchise is so malleable that opinions are all over the board minus a few movies. So the franchise is never really “fukked up” or dead. I can’t atand a view to a kill but it has a lot of fans so yeah

Ethan hunt seems more dimensional than Jason Bourne to me....Bourne just always seems likes he's moody and always groveling.

Yeah, Mission Impossible has been more consistent, way more. But when it comes to fighting skills, Ethan Hunt sucks. Jason Bourne would kill him easily.

Lark aka the Asian in Ghost protocol seems to be the only fight where Ethan was lacking in hand to hand, other than that Ethan is alright with the hands.

Hmmm I mean 1-3 Bourne was a good as u can get each topped the other notwithstanding the 4th but when Bourne fights tho it's better action imo
But MI I love em all except 2 and the 3-6 is

I think I enjoy the overall story more in MI
With Bourne I enjoy the action more when it's on

It be MI tho

I think there's a lot of well-deserved recency bias in this thread. Bourne made this franchise Irrelevant for most of the mid-2000s. But the last three MI have been so damn good and the last two bournes have not.

I definitely enjoy the MI series way more than Bourne... some of that is my affinity towards Cruise but whatever. The last Bourne movie was awesome tho; that Vegas chase

I love all the mission impossibles...ALL of them I just never finished Fallout I stopped it right in the beginning...

But the first one for the suspense, the second for the action...m:i:3 for phillip seymour hoffman and the china building jump..
M:i: 4 for benji and the new team... it's been amazing...

The first Bourne was best they all got worse and worse and stereotyped after that. But the best Bourne is better than any of the MI movies. MI #1 had some classic scenes but still wasn't on the same level. But they'r emore consistent as a franchise.
