yeah i've heard Toronto people say the same (:mjlaughnyk:canadians are way cornier than Brits), Africans are taking over, but it make sense since there's way more Nigerians alone then all the Caribbean combined. the tristate area is getting alot of Africans, especially Ghanianans now. Afrobeats is big now. i predict in the next 20-40years, Nigerians and other West Africans will out number West Indians in the tristate

I think pretty soon Florida will be the only place where Caribbean will outnumber Africans.

Oya = I can't really translate this because I don't now what it means but it's a Yoruba expression that similar to 'yo'/'oi'.
Pele = sorry in Yoruba.
Ode = fool in Yoruba.
