Dun noe.
JA are women are bad and I mess with more JA women than any other black group.
No, I think it's because a lot of the London mans here are neeks. London mans in general are cool and you'd be hard pressed finding a proper Londoner that will shyt on Jamaicans, apart from banter.
As for the linguo, it's because most of the black people in the UK used to be Caribbeans (mostly Jamaicans) before they changed the visa policy. When I was growing up, everywhere was littered with yardies - all the black gangs/OGs were Jamaican shower crews with family ties everywhere (it's still the same way in Birmingham). The music was mostly Jamaican dubstep influenced, reggae, and bashment. The clubs were run by Jamaicans. And most people that grew up in traditional black areas looked up to these people. Heck, everyone used to claim Jamaica back then, lol.
But it has changed now with the arrival of more Africans and how big Afrobeats is in the UK now. A lot of Jamaicans/Caribbeans use Yoruba slangs like: oya, pele, ode etc, now since Nigerians in the UK are on the rise and Yorubas form the biggest bulk of Nigerians out here. You might also catch a Jamaican saying, 'chale"', which is a Ghanaian word now.
