I make sure to do MY part since that's all I can control.

I fit the description of the mythical "big scary black guy" damn near to a tee so I make sure to greet /interact with my people when I'm out and about no matter the age/setting so they know I'm not on bs even if they don't reciprocate the response I'm always first to say hello, to offer to help when I can etc
