I'll be honest, breh. I don't have the same distaste for Shaun King that people on here do. Shaun is one of the key purveyors of the news that draws attention to this. Without his work, George Floyd would be another statistic that we see a passing mention of in our Twitter feed. I don't know if the breh is a cac pretending to be black or if he's a scam artist exploiting our grief for profit. I do know that, more often than not, Shaun King comes through when the brazen murder of black people goes unchallenged. He wakes people up and incites a response. I respect him for that.

Your instincts are correct. Ive watched him over the years too and just as you said he's always on purpose regardless of how corny folks feel he is.

Dude is an organizer and activist. That costs money. Dude has been a thing for almost 10 years now advocating against police brutality. Why do we need white folks and others to speak up about how sadden and messed up things are, we know this already?

I just watched some dude on ESPN happy over Tom Brady and others making a post on their twitter but not one said anything about punishing these officers or folks that do this to black folks.

The Wentz QB for Philly, said something about this racism has to stop lol.. like, is this what we as black folks are looking for from white folks when we say that they need to speak up?

I’m driving around my neighborhood seeing black owned business signs plastered everywhere and plywood on pretty much every business you can think of.

None of those businesses destoyed amount to a black man's life so y'all can quit posting people crying out their businiesses being ruin unless they're blaming the cop who killed George and the people who took 3 days to charge and arrest him because don't nobody got no sympathy for these people businesses especially if those busines owners don't got sympathy for a black man being killed while handcuffed

I live here. .. I use these stores and resources that got destroyed routinely.

I’m empathetic to people that look like me who might not be able to get their meds, food etc. ..

I’m blessed in the sense that I have access to what I need as many others may not unfortunately

But please do not get it twisted. .. this shyt isn’t on the people. It’s on a department that chose to repeatedly turn a blind eye and deaf ear towards its people.
