My uncle is an old school commie/activist, he became a bus driver back in the 60's in order to organize a transit strike from within were the need to ever arise. Just making sure so when they announce the charges and one of them is 1st degree people won't start saying "They purposely trying to overcharge him because they know those charges won't stick. He should've been charged with manslaughter or 2nd degree murder"

And then if they charge him with 2nd degree murder or manslaughter people start saying:
"Manslaughter or 2nd degree murder? They are trying to give him weak charges to escape harsh sentencing. That was clearly 1st degree murder"
